As we left Palmyra, we made one last stop--the Martin Harris home and farm. Even though Martin was nearly 20 years Joseph's senior, he loved the Prophet dearly and believed in him. This is the home Martin mortgaged to ensure payment of $3,000 so the Book of Mormon could be printed.
The home is currently a private residence and tours are not available of the interior.

I wonder what the people in that home think of all the visitors!?! It sure is a beautiful home.
